We offer chart auditing.  What is chart auditing?  This is when a coder reviews the provider's dictation or office notes and determines an evaluation and management level E/M base on the countable elements that are in the note.  Often provider's levels are inaccurate and this can affect the reimbursement.

Electronic claims billing.  Yes many companies offer electronic claims billing but not many have a certified coder checking the claim for possible errors that may reject the claim.  Did you know that codes change twice a year?  A certified coder has to keep current on this information to remain certified.   This will cut back reworking claims.

Updated coding information. ICD9 changes every October 1 and CMS requires the correct codes to be on the claim as of the 1st of October.  CPT4 changes on January 1 with the same rules. 

NCD AND LCD education.  What are NCD and LCD?  These are the national coverage determination and local coverage determination for ancillary service.  These policies are found on the CMS website with updated bulletins.
